Focus

The true underlying issue is not Race, but pain!

As Christians, community leaders, mental health professionals, and counselors, during this time it is imperative that we reminding ourselves and others to stay FOCUSED!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

And lean not on your own understanding;

In all your ways submit to him,

And he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3 5-6

In this time of aftermath, one can “lean into their own understandings” instead of focusing on what the true underlining issue is… PAIN!

As Joyce Meyers once said, “hurting people hurt people”.

Yes… Our nation is in pain, and yes, people are in pain… Your pain, my pain, their pain, our pain, this country’s pain is valid… Pain from violence, from injustice, from hypocrisy, that can and usually does bring fear, stress, anxiety and panic… violence.

How we react & respond to the pain is what currently we are dealing with as a nation.

This is why as community leaders and voices, we must stay focused on what the Word says and producing a positive response to remove the valid feelings created by the pain this nation is facing.

Three things to focus on:

God bless you as we stand together in this season of pain… knowing that weeping may endure for a night, but joy commit in the morning… We will get through this… with the strength of the Lord and focus of HIS people.

Stay focused on the Word… and Trust in the Lord with all your heart

And lean not on your own understanding;

In all your ways submit to him,

And he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3:5-6
